Real-life training, in real-life environments.

Training doesn't just happen in a class. Some of the most valuable learning takes place out on walks, where dogs are faced with the distractions and challenges of everyday life.

Tailored Walks

Every dog is different. That's why training walks are adapted to your dog's individual needs, goals, and learning style.

Whether you have an enthusiastic adolescent who forgets you're attached to the lead, a spaniel whose nose has a mind of its own, or a dog who simply needs a little extra guidance, we'll work together to build the skills that matter most to you.

More than just exercise

Training walks provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation, helping your dog return home feeling fulfilled, successful, and ready to relax.

Because every walk is an opportunity to learn. 💜🐶✨

Extra Services

In addition to walks, we also offer additional services such as feeding, watering, and provide enrichment upon request.

Just let us know how we can best care for your dog, and we’ll make it happen!

Why choose a training walk?

Many dogs can perform behaviours perfectly at home but find it much harder when they're out in the world. Training walks bridge that gap by teaching your dog how to respond in the environments where you need those skills most.

Using positive reinforcement methods, we'll help your dog make good choices while building their confidence and understanding along the way.

At Wagtrail & Train, I’m passionate about providing exceptional care for your furry family members. With our dog walking services, you can rest easy knowing that your dog is in good hands and enjoying plenty of exercise and companionship while you’re away.

  • Our dog walking sessions typically last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your dog’s needs and preferences. We can customise the length of the walk to ensure your dog gets the appropriate amount of exercise and stimulation.

  • The safety of your dog is my top priority. I am trained in handling techniques, lead management, dog body language and pet first aid.

  • I am qualified dog trainer (IMDT) and can recognise dog body language to preempt aggressive behaviour in dogs. I take precautions to avoid confrontations with other dogs during walks, by first getting to know your dog and taking them out for solo walks. This allows me to build a relationship with your dog and find a suitable group walk for them.

  • We take all medical needs and dietary restrictions into account when caring for your dog. Please provide us with detailed instructions and any necessary medications or special food, and we will ensure your dog’s needs are met during walks.

  • I am prepared to handle walks in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, or extreme heat. However, if weather conditions are deemed unsafe for your dog, we will postpone or reschedule the walk for their safety.

  • Scheduling dog walking services is easy! Simply contact me via phone, email, or our online form, and I will work with you to schedule walks at convenient times for you and your pet.
